ACCOUNT MANAGER (MANUFACTURING)

BASED EAST KILBRIDE 

 

Headquartered in East Kilbride and with an R+D centre in Hamilton, Grw Talent’s client is building out a high-volume electronic probe test card production and assembly business in East Kilbride. Already employing over 100 heads they continue to grow in Scotland, USA and Asia. They now need to make the key hire of an Account Manager.

 

The Account Manager will join the Customer Services function. Please note the role is a backshift from 2pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday to reflect US hours and it is a dayshift on Friday, 9am to 5pm. The role is permanent and mainly office based, with some flexibility available.  In this role you will report into the Supply Chain Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Tier 1 customers, building strong, strategic relationships.
  • Prepare and deliver quotations based on customer specifications and pricing models.
  • Manage day-to-day account activities, ensuring timely responses to inquiries, order tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Procurement, Logistics) to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Ensure data accuracy and input within the ERP system, Epicor and maintain up-to-date records of communications and quotations.
  • Lead weekly customer calls to maintain a healthy relationship, and to provide updates on customer accounts and orders.
  • Support the dynamic team of Sales Managers in providing timely outcomes for our customers.

 

You will need to have proven experience in a customer-facing Account Management role ideally within the Supply Chain, Logistics, or Manufacturing sectors. We would be especially keen to hear from Account Manager, Account Executives and Inside Sales Specialists from mainstream subcontract electronics, defence electronics or semiconductor/optoelectronics manufacturing backgrounds.  You will also need a strong understanding of Tier 1 customer expectations and service delivery standards with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

 

The Account Manager must have the ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritise their workload in a fast-paced environment.  Lastly, you’ll need to be competent in preparing complex quotations and understanding cost drivers with proficiency in MS Office and CRM and ERP systems.
